Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Girls' County Finals 2026
11th Mar 2026
The 2026 CNMB Tyrone Girls’ Indoor County Finals Day took place at MUSA in Cookstown and proved to be an outstanding celebration of primary school girls’ football, with a very high standard of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship on display throughout the day.
Group Stages
The competition opened with two competitive group sections, where fine margins ultimately determined progression to the knockout stages.
Section A (Section 1) featured Trillick, Primate Dixon, Galbally and Eskra and delivered a tightly contested series of games. Eskra topped the group on score difference, recording two strong victories and showing impressive attacking play. Primate Dixon also claimed two wins to finish second, securing their place in the semi‑finals.
Trillick were unfortunate to miss out despite remaining competitive throughout, while Galbally battled gamely in a demanding section where every match was keenly fought.
In Section B, Moy emerged as group winners following a series of consistent and controlled performances, combining solid defending with effective finishing. Glencull followed closely behind in second place, doing enough to progress after several closely contested games. Beragh, Rock and Dromore all contributed to a highly competitive section, with a number of matches decided by narrow scorelines.
Semi‑Finals
The semi‑finals produced two high‑quality contests and confirmed a familiar pairing for the final.
Glencull booked their place in the decider with a disciplined and composed performance, once again demonstrating the organisation and teamwork that had carried them through the group stages.
In the other semi‑final, Moy continued their impressive form with another assured display. Their victory set up a repeat of the group‑stage meeting between Moy and Glencull, adding extra anticipation ahead of the final.
Final
The county final proved a fitting climax to an excellent day of girls’ indoor football. In an entertaining and closely fought contest, Glencull emerged as CNMB Tyrone Girls’ Indoor County Champions, defeating Moy by 3 goals and 3 points to 2 goals and 4 points.
Both teams played with great intensity and skill, but Glencull’s ability to convert key chances at crucial moments proved decisive as they edged a thrilling encounter to claim the county title. An historic first for Master Gormley's girls who have made history for their school!!
Ulster Qualification
As Tyrone champions, Glencull now go on to represent the county at the CNMB Ulster Girls’ Indoor Finals, which will take place in Meadowbank on 26th June. They will carry Tyrone’s hopes forward after an impressive and deserved county campaign.
