Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling County Finals 2026
The Station Centre in Omagh was the venue for today's Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling Finals. St John's Moy, Roan St. Patrick’s Eglish, St Lawrence's Fintona, St Ronan's Recarson, St Patrick's Donaghmore, St Joseph's Galbally and holders, St Colmcille's Carrickmore, had all previously qualified for what was to be a memorable day for all in attendance.
After a series of round-robin matches played across two group sections, in which all boys played fantastically, showing great skill and determination throughout, the semi-finals were decided.
The Roan, Donghmore and Galbally boys narrowly missed-out on a semi-final place, but they certainly did their schools and communities proud with their performances.
The first semi-final was a tight affair between Group B leaders Carrickmore and Group A runners-up Moy, but the Carrickmore lads were able to get the vital score to see them through to the decider.
Recarson, who finished top of their group, faced off against Fintona in the second semi-final. This was an exciting game, with the Recarson boys doing enough to make it through to the final after extra time.
The standard and speed of the final was outstanding with both teams emptying the tank and with extra time on the cards, Carrickmore struck a quickfire goal to win the title once again. A super effort from the Recarson boys who finish as county runners-up.
St Colmcille's Carrickmore boys will now go forward to represent the county at the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Ulster Finals in Magherafelt where they will be defending their title - what an achievement!!
A big thank you to Tyrone Hurling Development Officers, Dylan McKenna, Colm Dillion, Rian McCaul & Ruairi O'Sullivan for officiating today and to all Cumann na mBunscol Officers for organising the event.
