4-Wall Handball Tyrone Finals 2020

Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Thír Eoghain held their annual Tyrone 4-Wall Handball County Finals in the magnificent Loughmacrory Handball Alley. Primary schools from across the county competed for a number of prestigious titles in the U11 and U13 grade for Girls and Boys at Singles and Doubles level.

A large crowd of spectators were treated to a spectacle of the highest order, as the participants showcased their vast array of skills. It appeared that every ounce of energy was expended by these young Gaels in their bid to take a coveted county title.

The results from the day’s competition are as follows:

U11 Girls’ Singles Champion – Eimear Hurson - Carrickmore

U11 Girls’ Doubles Champs – Aoibhe Kerr and Tatiana Tracey – Carrickmore

U11 Girls’ Doubles R Up – Niamh O’Gara and Courtney Bloomer – Pomeroy

U13 Girls’ Singles Champion – Lucy McCullagh – Loughmacrory

U13 Girls’ Singles Runner Up – Niamh Slean – Pomeroy

U13 Girls’ Doubles Champs – Keeva Owens and Aoife McWilliams – Drumduff

U13 Girls’ Dbs R Up – Aoibheann Slean and Emma-Jane Nugent – Pomeroy

U11 Boys’ Singles Champion – Tarlach Ní Treasaigh - Gaelscoil na gCrann

U11 Boys’ Singles Runner Up - Marcus Conway - Greencastle

U11 Boys’ Doubles Champs – Lorcan Meenagh & Ciaran McCrystal – L’macrory

U11 Boys’ Doubles Runner Up – Ruairí McElduff and Niall Morris – Carrickmore

U13 Boys’ Singles Champion – Ben McGarvey – Drumduff

U13 Boys’ Singles Runner Up – Damhan Meenagh - Loughmacrory

U13 Boys’ Doubles Champ – Cathal Farley and Oisin Kelly – Drumduff

U13 Boys’ Doubles Runner Up – Shane Molloy and Shea Tracey – Greencastle

A huge word of thanks to Master Mark McCullagh (St. Teresa’s P.S. Loughmacrory) for co-ordinating the competition and helping ensure the smooth running of this very successful event. Our thanks also to Patrick McGivern (CnmB) for presenting the precious county medals on the day.

The Tyrone champions in each category now advance to the Ulster Finals on 12 February in Belfast. We wish them all well as worthy Tyrone ambassadors.
